Why C-Care+, currency disinfection machine?
During circulation of currency notes and coins, especially in banks, markets, hospitals, railway stations, restaurants, pilgrim canters etc, it is high risk to spread of various pathogenic microorganisms tainted on the banknotes, ATM cards and coins. This is more critical while the spreading of COVID-19 happens across the world. Minimizing this risk is important because COVID-19 virus and various pathogenic microorganisms can live on plastic, paper currency notes and metal surfaces etc for many hours. Currency notes and coins are potential corona carriers and other various pathogenic microorganisms.

 

Currency Care UVC plus, C-Care+ is the reliable solution, using novel technique that allows 100 percent surface exposure to UVC during entire transportation of notes one by one through disinfection chamber with high disinfection rate in notes per minute.

The proposed design is safe and convenient in use. This currency notes and coin disinfection system is apt for areas where high risk of spreading infectious diseases due to currency and coin transfer, thereby prevention of pandemic to great extend  and ensure the health of the people.

We are using proven UV-C technology, literature and the test results shows 99.9% inactivation (parameters restriction) of virus and bacteria infestation. DNA or RNA exposure to UV-C inhibits cellular replication or viral inactivation since it damages the cell by photo-hydration, photo-splitting, photo-dimerization and photocrosslinking.

In order to increase the reliability, C-Care+  machine  takes bank notes one by one and 100% surface is exposed to UVC light with proper dosage ie; applying  sufficient intensity for adequate time to crack  the  pathogenic microorganisms tainted on the surface. While travelling through the disinfection chamber, the note gets disinfected on its one side by UV light and with the aid of automatic turning mechanism the other side of the note get disinfected before reaching the collection port.  The UVC dosage calculations are done by DRDO.
It is noticed that, many  Bank note disinfection machines available in market are not disinfecting bank notes one by one instead bundle of notes placed inside the UVC chamber and they will crack viruses only at the outer surfaces of the note bundle and they are not doing their function properly. We are getting support from CSIR and DRDO and C-Care+ technology is reliable.
Indigenously developed UVC light intensity measuring device gives status indication, thereby indicating the availability UV-C within the disinfection chamber. Measuring probe is connected to each UV lamp and gives indication if it fails. So reliability is considerably increased.
The same machine can be used for disinfecting ATM cards, coins, train tickets, boarding pass, food coupons etc. It is more safe to use and its design and  construction prevent direct UV  light coming out from the chamber
We have added money counting features and developing fake note detection and have a possibility to increase disinfection rate to 400 notes per minute in association with Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (BIIC) in Mahatma Gandhi (MG) University, Kottayam, Kerala.
